Dear Friends,
Justice for Ethan needs you once again. Time has come for action!
In the beginning, Justice for Ethan was a call to action, a demand for an independent investigation into Ethan's death at the hands of three off-duty sheriff's deputies. The Civil Rights Division of the US Department of Justice is conducting an ongoing investigation in the matter, and we as a family have filed civil claims against those involved with the hope it will force testimony and reveal the truth.
Justice for Ethan is now a call for systemic and local change! Law enforcement and other public service agencies must be held accountable to not only accommodate individuals with differing needs but embrace and respect diversity!
We must take action to elect leaders for social change and we must continue to demand results. The time is right to ride the wave of energy you created after the death of my precious Ethan and so many others at the hands of overzealous or ill-prepared public servants.
Many of you have asked if you could financially support us in any way, and until now the answer was no. The time has come; I need your financial support now!
Justice for Ethan is committed to changing the leadership of law enforcement in Frederick County, Maryland and the nation. Frederick should be leading the way in the State of Maryland by creating systemic change that can be replicated across the country. Maryland is poised for this with the work being done by The Commission for Effective Community Inclusion of People with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, The Maryland ARC, Pathfinders for Autism and others.
When Ethan was killed many people asked in bewilderment: "Why didn't somebody just buy him a movie ticket?" Here's your chance!
If you would have paid the $10 movie ticket to save Ethan's life, will you send it to me now?
Will you pay $10 to buy a ticket for change?
Your $10 donation buys a Ticket to Change!
This is my personal plea to you...
Please help! Hit the "Buy a Ticket for Ethan" button on the front page of Karl's website to send the cost of a movie ticket to elect Karl Bickel as the new leader of the Frederick County Sheriff's Department.
Karl Bickel has the vision, the experience and the commitment to make things happen. Take a minute to look at his website,www.frederickcountysheriff.com, and like his Facebook page.
Most of all, buy your ticket to change!
